Obit: Mrs. Allie M. Elliott, wife of Sylvester Elliott, prominent young woman of the Jefferson and Manson vicinity, died at the Clinton County hospital at 5 o'clock yesterday morning (June 8, 1928), death resulting from a complication of ailments for which she had been under treatment.

The death came suddenly and unexpected to member of the family and a wide acquaintance of friends. She had been a lifelong resident of the county and had spent her entire life in the vicinity of her home. She was a woman of a personality that gathered about her a countless number of friends who mourn her loss.

Mrs. Elliott, a daughter of Samuel and Miranda Fickle, was born near Fickle, Indiana, February 10, 1889, and was past 39 years of age at the time of her death. All her life was spent near the scene of her birth and in childhood she became a member of the United Christian Church and had been active in the work of the church.

On September 6, 1916, she was united in marriage with Sylvester J. Elliott, and they established their home southwest of Jefferson.

Surviving besides the husband are three children, John, Richard and Charles. She is also survived by her parents and three sisters, Minnie P. Fickle of Indianapolis, Nellie M. Davis of Lafayette, and Ida E. Moore of Frankfort.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Sunday morning (June 10, 1928). Rev. H.W. Franklin will officiate and interment will be in the Jefferson Cemetery.
