Martha I. Griffin, 100, Atchison, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Atchison Senior Village.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Lovelace officiating. Burial will be in Meriden Cemetery, Meriden. Mrs. Griffin was a homemaker.
She was born June 16, 1906, in Butler County, the daughter of Samuel and Mabel Ocker Osman. She lived in Meriden, moved to Wamego and then to Atchison in 1991.
Mrs. Griffin was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting, doing needlework, raising chickens, painting and doing crafts.
She married Charley E. Moore in 1924. He died in January 1961. She married Otis Griffin in August 1972. He died in April 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Robert and Kenneth Moore; a daughter, Evelyn McConnaughey; five brothers, Mark, Everett, Sam, Clarence and William Osman; two sisters, Maydene VanArsdale and Juanita Stareck; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Charles E. and Boots Moore, Atchison; a daughter and her husband, Darlene E./ and Marlin McCall, Topeka; a sister, Doris Lance, Grand Junction, Colo.; 17 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
