Merle A, age 81, of 321 Cherry Ave., NE, Canton, died Monday afternoon in Aultman Hospital after a 2 year illness. Born in Johnstown, PA, he lived in Canton for the past 60 years. He owned and operated the Fulton Radio and Lock Service. Member of Mt Tabor United Methodist Church in East Canton, The Arion Singing Society, Canton Lodge #60, F&AM and Masonic Veterans Association. An Army Veteran of World War I. Survived by 2 daughters; Mrs. Frederick (Alice) Karcher of Canton, and Mrs. Merle (Ruth) Grubb of Stubenville. One son; Thomas Guist of California; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grand children; 2 sisters, Mrs. Pansy Riggle and Mrs. Fern Lozier both of Canton; one brother Frank Guist of Canton. Services will be Thursday at 10:30 am in the Kreighbaum Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Crooks officiating. Friends may call Wednesday evening 7 to 9 with Masonic services at 6:45. The body will be cremated and the cremains will be buried in Sunset Hills Burial Park
