Grace was born on February 26, 1923 in Marianna, Florida. She died at her home in Williamsburg, Virginia on April 4, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Mack Sapp.
She is survived by her daughters Carolyn (John) Tyson, Beverly (Joe) Everitt; grandchildren, Allison (Todd) Murphy, Meghan (Vinnie) Merida, Andrew Everitt, and Anna (Kenton) Hargis. Grace has eight great-grandchildren, Walter, Emma, Owen, Samuel and Henry Murphy, Olivia and Benjamin Merida and Eden Grace Hargis. She also has two special nieces, Faye and Christy Morris, and nephew, David Thompson.

Grace will be remembered for her love of flowers, for being the collector of family photos, and her wonderful southern meals that were enjoyed for years by her family and friends. Grace was a long-time member of Milestone Baptist Church in Pensacola. After moving to Williamsburg to be near her daughters, she became a member of James River Baptist Church

A memorial service in Pensacola will be held at a later date.
