William Naschinski
SPRINGFIELD - William Naschinski, 92, of Springfield died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, at St. John's Hospice.

He was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Springfield, the son of William and Augusta Sokolis Naschinski. He married Betty Keegan on Oct. 1, 1955, in Springfield; she preceded him in death on June 23, 1999. Three brothers also preceded him in death.

Mr. Naschinski was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1977 after 25 years. He was a World War II Army veteran. He enjoyed going to Army reunions with his family. He collected coins and stamps and worked in his vegetable garden and watched western movies.

Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Naschinski of Springfield; and a granddaughter, Sara.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Camp Butler National Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Olson officiating and the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County doing military honors.

Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 530 N. Fifth St., is in charge of arrangements.
