GEORGE C. WIENEKE DIES OF INJURIES

Was Badly scolded while reparing pipe at A.S.&T.P Company

As a result of burns sustained the 30th of November, George C. Wieneke died Tuesday morning at the Ohio Valley General hospital. Mr. Wieneke had been working about three weeks making repairs incident to the reopening of the La Belle mill of the American Sheet and Tin Plate company. A steam pipe became clogged and Wieneke was trying to pry it open. Another workman hit the pipe with a hammer and the steam burst out of the pipe directly on Mr. Wieneke.

Mr. Wieneke is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruth Wieneke, and the following children; Otis, Dorothy, Mildred, Edward, Frieda and James, all at home.

Mr. Wieneke was born in Wheeling forty years ago, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Wieneke. His father and the following brothers and sisters also survive; William and Charles Wieneke, Mrs. Henry Faulk and Emma Horner, all of Wheeling.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bruemmer & Hildebrand Mortuary. Rev. Stearn, of the Church of God will officiate. Burial will be made in Mount Olivet cemetery.
