Terri Abell-Walling passed away at Spirit Mountain Hospice at 4:30 a.m. Sept. 23, 2022. A service is planned at noon on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at Highland Park Community Church. Terri was born in Pueblo, Colo., on Aug. 17, 1942, to Bernard and June Prendergast. The family moved to California before Terri started High School. Terri attended Chaffee High School in Onterio Calif., and graduated in 1960. Terri married Chuck Costello Sr. in 1961, and they had two children, Tracey (deceased) and Chuck Jr. Terri married Richard Walling in 1992 in Fort Wayne, Ind. They moved from Ft. Wayne in 1996 to Pueblo, Colo., until 2021. At that time, Richard entered a nursing home suffering with dementia in Pueblo. Chuck got a job in Cody, Wyo., in September 2021. Chuck, Terri and her granddaughter, Harli, moved to Cody, Wyo. Terri had a hard time leaving Richard, but Chuck insisted Terri move with him to Cody, so he could look out for his mom. Terri became a member of Highland Park Community Church shortly after arriving in Cody. She absolutely loved being part of this church family. Terri was a loving and caring mother to her son Chuck and granddaughter Harli, and they attended church together. Terri always loved the mountains and said it was God's country! The family ask that memorial donations may be made to Highland Park Commumity Church. Terri is survived by her husband, Richard Walling; son, Chuck Costello; and granddaughter, Harli Costello; son-n-law, Tom Montoya; and sister, Stephanie Hall of Florida.
