Patricia Matter, 87, of Gainesville, Florida passed away peacefully on April 7, 2023; surrounded by family.

She was born on February 2, 1936, to Anthony S. and Dorothy M. (Linden) Granahan. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Gene Matter, and daughter Rosemarie Millard.

Patricia was a homemaker, loved music and decorating. She had a love for babies and spent many hours volunteering in hospitals with newborns. Her Catholic faith was an important part of her life.

She is survived by daughters Colleen (Randy) Endsley of New Berlin WI, Karen (Ken) Anderson of Fate TX, Kathryn (Richard) Duval of Gainesville FL and sons William (Kate) Matter of Avon IN and Robert (Carrie) Matter of Arvada CO, 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis Granahan and Lawrence Granahan. Loved by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. John Vianney Catholic Parish in Brookfield WI on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 11am. A burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI.

Donations to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in lieu of flowers.
