Archie W. Childress, 79 died Thursday, July 29, 1993 at his home in Saugus, Calif.
Mr. Childress was born on January 31, 1914 in Millerton, Oklahoma. He owned and operated Childress Garage in Henryetta for over 45 years. He was a retired engineer and mechanic.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henryetta.
Survivors include: wife, Cleo, of the home in Saugus, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Darlene Gibson of Saugus; two sisters, Jimmie Darby, of Pauls Valley, Okla.; and Annabelle McGinty, of Ft. Worth, Texas; one grandson, and 16 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Childress will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 1993 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kelley Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gifford McGinty will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Beggs Cemetery in Beggs, Oklahoma under the direction of Kelley Funeral Home.
Viewing for Mr. Childress will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday in the Kelley Funeral Home.
