James T. Dolan, an old and esteemed resident of this city passed away this morning at an early hour st his home, 202 Ninth street He was ill the past year with a cancer of the stomach and was confined to his bed most of that time. . His age was In the neighborhood of seventy years, and he was among the early settlers of Oshkosh.
For a number of years, he was a faithful employe of the Chicago & Northwestern railroad and was tender of the railroad bridge at the mouth of the Fox river.
Mr. Dolan was a soldier In the Civil war and was a member of Co. G of the Sixty-first Ohio volunteers. He was an honored member of 3ohn W. Scott post G. A. R. of this city and the veterans will turn out in a body to the funeral, which will be under the direction of Scott post.
A widow and five sons survive.
The funeral will be held in St. John's church on Thirteenth street Rev. John Morrlssey officiating.
