He was married to Miss Mary McKibben in 1868, and to this union five children were born: Thomas L., Frank, Belle, Georgia, and Phillip K., Four of them still survive him, one having preceded him to the other shore. In 1883 was married to Miss Sarah Willis, his now bereaved widow, and with whom he lived happily until his death
The funeral, at the G. A. R. hall at ten o'clock on Friday morning, was conducted by Rev. Beauchamp, assisted by Rev. Wm. Landis of the M. E. church, and was attended by a large company of veterans, he having been a member of the G. A. R., and filling the various offices in the same.
Enlisted in the United States army on the 9th day of August, in Claremont county, Ohio, for three years, or during the war, in Co.
