Decorated and retired Air Force MSGT. First Gulf War Veteran. He loved entertaining, bowling, sports, trips to Las Vegas and was a devoted Michigan Wolverine fan. He served on the committee for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Tucson, AZ. A friend and hero to all that came to know him. One of our true American Hero's. Mark married his high school sweethart Mary Beth who he called his "Baby Doll" and truly loved Mary and his family. A fantastic listener, a great American who loved his country and life. A regular Master Chef tailgater; he ensured all of his fellow tailgaters were fed and full of suds and entertained with his stories and tall tales. A Great husband, father, brother, son, brother-in-law and friend. A one of a kind man who made ALL feel COMFORTABLE when they were around him.

Mark Richard Schuler age 45, passed away Sunday night in Santa Monica, California where he was seeking treatment for cancer. Mark was born May 5, 1962, to Richard K. and Nina (Schwartz) Schuler in Lincoln, NE. He was raised in Adrian, MI and is a 1980 graduate of Adrian High School.
Mark married his high school sweetheart, Mary Beth Kibbee-Cook of Morenci, MI, on September 17, 1982, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Adrian. Mary was his beloved "Baby Doll", the love of his life. Mark joined
the U.S. Air Force in 1983 and retired in 2004 as Master Sergeant from DMAFB in Tucson, AZ. Along the way, Mark met and influenced many friends that became an important addition to his family. Mark and Mary have two children, Jessica, 24, of Alaska and James, 21, of Tucson, AZ. Mark was a gladiator in his fight against cancer which began in 1995. He served on the committee for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Tucson and always encouraged others who were fighting the same battle. He enjoyed entertaining, bowling, sports, trips to Las Vegas and was
also a devoted Michigan Wolverine fan. Mark is survived by his wife, Mary, of Tucson; his beloved children Jessica and James; his parents Richard and Nina Schuler of Cedar Springs, MI; his brothers and sisters, Mike (Cathy) Schuler of Huber Heights, OH, Deborah Mousseau of Glendale, CA; Nina (Matt) Erlacher of Adrian, MI; Shellie Schuler of Tucson, AZ; Joe (Karen) Schuler of Grand Rapids, MI; Todd (Janine) Cook of Fargo, ND; Josie Cook of Liberty Center, OH; Bill Cook of Tucson, AZ; and Heidi (Craig) Paxton of Archibold, OH, along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008, at EAST LAWN PALM'S MORTUARY in Tucson. Funeral services will be held at Desert Dove Chapel DMAFB on Saturday, March 15, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. (those who would like to attend but have no access to base and have not contacted the family, should stop by the Craycroft Gate Visitor Center). Grave side services will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. The family would like to thank the UMC Hospital & Cancer Center, all his doctors
and nurses and the Veteran's Hospital of Tucson.
