Adeline Lorena, Agusta (Berkholtz) Seehawer, 91, Green Bay, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 2, 1914, a daughter of Edward and Emma (Henning) Berkholtz in the town of Rockland. Adeline married Glenmore Seehawer in Waukegan, Ill., on Sept 5, 1934.
They resided in Brillion for five years before taking over the Seehawer family construction business. Later they moved to Chilton where they resided for 15 years. They then moved to New Holstein where they lived until they retired in 1976. Upon retirement, they moved to Lakeland, Fla., where they spent 12 years. In 1988, they returned to Wisconsin to live in Green Bay at the River's Edge Apartments.
In September of 1993, they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Glenmore passed away the following January at San Luis Manor. They have been members of Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1988.
Adeline's membership in Redeemer Lutheran was very important to her. She missed not being able to attend services when she moved to the McCormick Memorial Home. Because of this, she really appreciated the visits made by Rev. John Poppe, Rev. Karl Ehrfurth, and Rev. Paul Pett. We thank them for providing for her spiritual comfort.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Garry (Sue) Seehawer, Rockford, Ill.; David (Linda) Seehawer, Sarasota, Fla.; Steven (Faith) Seehawer, Green Bay; five grandsons and their spouses, Scott Seehawer, Troy (Lynnette) Seehawer, Marc Seehawer, Craig Seehawer, Bradley (Veronica) Seehawer; a stepgrandson, Ryan (Rachel) Mazuk; two granddaughters, Jeannine (Kirby) Miner, Julie Seehawer; four great-grandchildren, Ava Grismer, Olivia Miner, Kasey Miner, Daniel Miner; a sister-in-law, Harriet Berkholtz; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and very dear old friends.
Friends may call at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 S. Oneida St., from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Paul Pett officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of the Cross at Lakeland Memorial Gardens, Lakeland, Fla.
