Born June 1, 1925, in Maryland, he was the son of the late Thomas
A. Dixon Sr. and Mamie Dunson Dixon. He was the husband of Rosa
Lee Neal Dixon.
He was a Manager Presentation Specialist at Goddard's Aerospace
Center. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, where he
was a Petty Officer 1st Class.
Surviving in addition to his wife,
are daughters Donna D. Scott, Celeste P. Wiggins, Florence A. Reid,
Phyllis A. Dixon; sons Reginald Dixon, Rodney A. Dixon, Carl H.
Dixon, David W. Dixon, Vincent R. Dixon, and Wayne A. Dixon, Eric
C. Dixon; sisters Trudy Green and Edith Davenport, both of New
York, Twila Mitchell of Capitol Heights; brothers Richard N.
Dixon, and William F. Dixon, both of Westminster; and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Witzke Funeral
Home, 5555 Twin Knolls Road, Columbia with Dr. Rufus Abernathy
officiating. Burial will be in Maryland National Memorial Park.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Wild Lake Interface
Center, Columbia.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
