Joseph Eagles Bunn passed away on April 19th, 2023. Visitation will be held at the family home Friday, April 21 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 24 at 11:00 am at Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson, NC. Father Philip Byrum will officiate.

Joe is survived by his wife Ruby Mercer Bunn of Wilson, NC; his brothers, Frederick Moye Bunn and wife, Gina and Turner Battle Bunn, III and wife, Sarah.; son, Joseph Eagles Bunn, Jr.; daughter Anne Davis Richards and husband, Rob; and grandsons, Colin Eagles Bunn, Davis Thorton Bunn and Frederick Battle Richards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Turner Battle Bunn, Jr. and Catherine Eagles Bunn, both of Wilson, NC.

Joe served as President of Rocky Mount Cord Company for 50 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to American Cancer Society or St. Timothy's Episcopal Church.
