Jim was born December 21, 1944 in Wheeling, a son of the late Charles F. & Edith (Kaske) Pegg. He retired from ORMET, after 43 years of service; was a member of the McMechen Church of God and the V.F.W., Moundsville; and was a U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Gary, Larry, Richard and Donald Pegg.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Donna M. (Wade) Pegg; a son, James "Todd" Pegg of Wheeling; a daughter, Marsha (Gregory) Norman of McMechen; a brother, Danny Pegg of Wheeling; two sisters-in-law, Judy Pegg and Debbie Pegg, both of Wheeling; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 11 am until time of funeral services at 12 pm, with Rev. Dr. Mitch Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard, WV, with full military honors.
