Gladys M. Welty, 86, of Akron, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 1987 in Barberton Citizens Hospital.
Born in Washingtonville, Ohio on May 6, 1901, a daughter of Feston and Lillian (Firth) Boston, she was married on Sept. 4, 1920 to Orrie Welty in Summit County. He preceded her in death in 1962. Mrs. Welty lived in the Akron area many years and was a member of Highview Baptist Church. She retired from B.F. Goodrich Co., where she worked in the Aerospace Division.
She leaves a son, Ronald, of Alliance; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
