RYAN GREENWADE - Bryan - Ryan Greenwade, age 17, of Bryan, died Friday, April 8, 1994 in a San Antonio hospital after a long illness with cancer.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 1994, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian with Rev. Richard Creech officiating. Burial was at the Meridian Cemetery.
Ryan was born June 2, 1976, in Austin and had lived in various parts of the world while his father was in the military. He had lived in Lakenheath Air Force Base in England, Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio and George Air Force Base in California before moving to Bryan 2 years ago. He was a 10th grade student and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include parents, Glenn & Faye Scruggs Greenwade of Bryan; sister, Stephanie Greenwade of Bryan; grandparents, C. A. Greenwade of Meridian, Reba Charlene Atchison of Fort Worth, Betty Hicks of Bryan, U.B. & Lee Scruggs of Houston; great-grandmothers, Thelma Thompson of Iredell, Bessie Boultinghouse of Bay City.
Ryan never lived in Meridian but visited here for many years with his grandfather and it was his wish to be buried in Meridian, a community he loved.
