Geo. W. Allen was born December 14, 1875, in Cherokee Nation, near Fort Smith, Arkansas. His father died when he was seven years of age, and his mother, who was a Cherokee Indian died in 1907. He attended the public schools until 1898, and then entered Harrell International Institute, Muskogee, Okla., at Uniontown, Arkansas. After this he taught in the public schools. November 1903, he was married to Miss Lizzie Thompson. They have one child August, 1901. He was baptized into the body of christ, and one month later began preaching, and continues to preach in connection with his work on the farm. He has baptized a number and engaged in several debates.
