Walter was admitted to the asylum in March of 1906 and died there 31 yr 5 mo 14 days later of myocarditis. He had not married. His WWI draft registration, done while he was hospitalized, indicates that he was of medium height and build and had brown eyes and brown hair.
His sister, Zettie, was also cared for at the asylum for many years (1923 to 1954) and died there but is buried with her husband.
