Edwin B. Emerick

Edwin B. Emerick, 89, of Rockport, W.Va., died May 22, 2007, at Eldercare of Ripley.

He was born in Akron, Ohio, a son of the late George and Ruby Blair Emerick. He was a farmer and attended Gates Ridge United Methodist Church.

Edwin is survived by a brother, Ronald Emerick and his wife, Betty, of Wheeling, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Vivian Emerick also of Wheeling; two nieces, Shirley Emerick of Fredericksburg, Va., and Connie Parker of Grove City, Ohio; and two nephews, Dale Emerick of Ruther Glen, Va., and Andrew Emerick of Wheeling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Emerick; and a sister, Marjorie Ward.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, with the Rev. Vera Archer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
