Former longtime Anchorage resident Bobby R. Goerler, 55, of Morristown, Tenn., died Jan. 13 at the University of Tennessee Hospital. A funeral was at Farrar's Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Brotherton officiating. Interment was in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City, Tenn. A visitation was at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City.
Mr. Goerler was born March 6, 1936, in Addyston, Ohio. He was a 20-year Anchorage resident and recently retired as operations foreman for Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility after 20 years of service. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Mr. Goerler is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brenda Carlton Goerler of Morristown; his daughters and sons-in-law, Mark and Kelly Barnholdt and Dan and Valerie Bradford, and his daughter, Karen Goerler, all of Anchorage; his father, John of Addyston; his sisters, Jacqueline Coulter of Addyston, Alice Meece of Independence, Ky., Betty Duncan of Florence, Ky., and Roxann Kenwright of Florence; his brother, Terry of Anchorage; his grandson, Mark Barnholdt Jr. of Anchorage; and many nieces and nephews.
