Willard Deece Stinson, 68, was born May 10, 1939, in Madison, Tenn., to Willard Otalene (Haislip) and Coy Stinson and passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at his home in Olustee.

Willard graduated from Petersburg High School in Petersburg, Tenn., in 1957 where he was Class Vice President. In January 1959, he graduated from Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, Tenn.

He joined the U.S. Air Force and served from January 1961 until January 1965 when he was discharged as an Airman First Class.

He was married to Anna Kay (Cross) Stinson at the Altus Air Force Base Chapel on December 14, 1962.

He worked as an electrical engineer at Altus Air Force Base for 20 years and also served in the Oklahoma National Guard for 23 and one-half years. In addition, Willard operated Stinson Electrical and A&W Pecans in Olustee, was a volunteer fireman there and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Elmer and the Methodist Church in Elmer.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Cornelia Etta (Brooks) Stinson and William Washington Stinson; his maternal grandparents, Sara Rebecca Caldonia (Haislip) Haislip and Zachary Leondis Haislip; his parents, Coy Stinson and Willard Otalene (Haislip) Stinson; and infant brother (18 months), Wendol Ray Stinson; his Godfather, Joe Lee Clark and his Godmother, Myrtle Ruth Clark.

Willard is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anna Kay (Cross) Stinson, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela June and Gary Don Morath of Wichita Falls, Texas, and grandchildren, Kirsten Renee Morath, Luke Chandler Morath, Matthew Blake Morath, Zadie Ann Morath, all of Wichita Falls; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Deece and Laurie Stinson of Salt Lake City, Utah and grandson, Jared Heath Stinson of Salt Lake City, ; a sister and brother-in-law, Glynis Sue and L.L. McClure of Delina, Tenn.; nephew, Wendell McClure and family of Delina; nephew, Ricky McClure and family of Delina; niece, Trina Hardrick and family of Lewisburg, Tenn.; Godsister, Donna (Clark) Jefferies and husband John of Fayetteville, Tenn.; Donna and John's daughters, Lauren and Leesa Jefferies of Fayettesville; and the best friend a man could have, Arlis Thomason and wife D'Eon of Altus.

Funeral services wee set for at 2:30 p.m. today at People's Funeral Chapel in Lone Wolf officiated by the Rev. R.T. Perry. Burial was to be at the Altus City Cemetery with military honors by the Blue Knights Honor Guard, Altus Air Force Base.

Arrangements are with People's Co-operative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf.
