Mrs. Boggess was raised in Ritzville, but graduated from high school in 1931 at Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, She married John Edward Boggess on June 19, 1937 in Spokane. Together they made their home in Colville. Mrs. Boggess owned her own dress shop in Colville for a time. She also worked at JC Penney and at Barmans Department store. She worked as a bookkeeper for CB & C plumbing until her retirement.
Mrs. Boggess enjoyed sewing, reading and raising large gardens. She was a member of the Colville Christian Church and was a live member of the Soroptimist International.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Hartman, Spokane; one son, Gary Boggess and wife, Bette, Chattaroy; two twin sisters, Betty Clark, Colville; Beatrice Bender, Colville; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Edward Boggess, September 27, 1983.
