Professional Baseball Player. He played for the Negro Leagues during the 1900s. He was born as Thomas Isaac Abbott in Brooklyn, New York, to Thomas Abbott and his wife Mary Green Abbott in Brooklyn, New York, on December 15, 1884. He played the position of outfielder with the Brooklyn Royal Giants making his professional debut in 1906. He also played for the Cuban Giants in 1907, and the New York Colored Giants in 1914. His 162 Game Average consisted of 486 Plate Appearances, 421 At Bats, 0 Runs Scored, 65 Hits, O Doubles, O Triples, O Homeruns, 32 Runs Batted In, 54 Stolen Bases, O Hit By Pitch, 2 Sacrifice Hits, 154 Batting Average, .214 On Base Percentage, .154 Slugging Percentage, .368 On Base Percentage Plus Slugging Percentage, and 12 Adjusted On Base Percentage Plus Slugging Percentage. After his professional baseball career, he worked as a chauffeur until his death. He passed away from pneumonia at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, on April 3, 1926, at the age of 41, and he was buried in The Evergreens Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York. He never married nor had any children.
