LINCOLN - Helena Inez Jensen, 86, of Lincoln passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008, in Fayetteville. She was born April 10, 1921, in Lincoln, the daughter of Conrad Peter and Ruby Celeste (Holt) Jenson.

She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy-WAVES. She retired from the Federal Civil Service of the Department of the Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.

Helena loved her family so much that she made sure that any of her nieces or nephews that wanted to continue their education, she would see that it would happen. She enjoyed helping her many friends, gardening and supporting the United States Women Veterans.

Survivors include two sisters; Nell Hannah of Lincoln, Ella Craig of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at noon Monday, March 17 at the home of her niece, Mary and Bryan Freeman in Lincoln. Ms. Jensen will be laid to rest in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
