Daughter of the late Madison Ballance and Lydia Jones. She was the widow of Guy V. Best. She was a retired builder and homemaker. She was survived by three brothers, J. Kirk Ballance, Gene T. Ballance and Allan Ballance; two sisters, Ruth Ballancce Sadler and Joyce Ballance Jones; a stepson, Rober Best; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clen L. Ballance, who died October 20, 1989. Her funeral was held October 8, 2001, at the Fairfield United Methodist Church with The Rev. Valerie Ballance and Steve Bryan officiating.
