Joseph W Cullen, 81, who founded the S&C Radio and TV Maintenance shop in Alexandria in the early 1950s and ran it until 1983, when he retired and sold it, died of cancer Nov 28th at his home in Alexandria.
Mr Cullen was born in Springfield, MO. he studied at the Midland Radio School in Kansas City, MO.
In 1942, he moved to the Washington area to work at National Airport as a radio engineer for what is now Trans World Airlines. he remained in that job until he started his own business.
Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn Cullen of Purcellville, Va; one daughter, Dari Cullen Daggist of Grove City PA; one sister Ann Marie O'Marra of Harford KS and one grandson.
