He was one of the pioneer residents of the Indian Rivers Farms having at one time owned the property at the corner of Osceola Blvd. & King's Highway. He was born in Canada & name sometimes listed as Kilbourn (information from Press Journal obituary).Son of Remington Kilborn (1803-1888)
and Lucy Chapin (1815-1885) both of
Leeds County, Ontario who were buried in
"Cemetery-on-the-Hill" in Kitley Township,
in Leeds County, Ontario.

native of Washtenaw County, MI. Soon after
the birth of their second child in 1874, Henry
left the marriage and was later divorced
from Sarah.
His second wife was Esther A. (1845-1905)
and they lived in Manitoba.
His third wife was Susan A. Cook.

Children: (2-born in Ypsilanti, MI)
(1) Frank R. (1871-1920) lived in Dauphin/
Ochre River, Manitoba, married Mrs. Nellie
J. Butler but died in Toledo, Ontario from
cancer and was buried beside his paternal
grandparents in "Cemetery-on-the- Hill.

(2) Oscar J. (1874-1956) married Ruth Eva
Stewart (1888-1979) native of Lengby, MN.
They had five children and lived in MN, WI
and ND. In the 1920s the marriage broke up
and the couple later divorced. Ruth remarried
to Charles C. Robb but it lasted less than 10
years after which time Sarah reunited with
Oscar. They lived out their senior years
together in Oregon. Both were buried there
in Rose City Cemetery in Portland.

He moved from Ontario to Michigan in the
1860s. It is believed he first worked there in
logging mill camps. After his divorce it is
believed he took the older son and that Sarah
raised the younger one.
On 1880 census Henry is living in a boarding
house in Ludington, Mason Co., MI.
Like many others in eastern Ontario, Henry
and his brother, George, went west and
homesteaded in Manitoba in the area of Ochre
River, north of Winnipeg. At some point
Henry and brother George purchased
property in Indian River County, Florida,
south of Vero City.
His obit says that his land had been sold
prior to his death but he continued to return
and lived alone in his brother's house when-
ever he visited the area.
He is buried in a single grave.
