Shirley Ouradnik

Manitowoc - Shirley O's Tours, aka Shirley Ouradnik, took her last bus ride to the celestial casino Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the age of 81.

Shirley lived a life full of different experiences that often embarrassed her kids – ie – dressing as a giant Twinkie to help promote a store opening or coming home from the tinsel factory after work covered in tinsel just to be funny, or buying her first car by herself, paying one whole dollar in change and then driving up to our schools as the car backfired making everyone turn while she smiled and waved!

Shirley loved being an entrepreneur and starting a tour bus company became her passion. She enjoyed meeting new people and reacquainting with old friends. Her favorite trips were going up and down the Mississippi River to gambling boats and showing her passengers a good time. Shirley also liked bussing folks up to Oneida, often the ones that traveled across Lake Michigan, but like the local friends as well.

Shirley's beloved sons, Don Henderson and Scott Henderson, preceded her to the celestial casino along with her sister Bernice Miller. They are all probably standing there with buckets of chips waiting to go play.

There are others who have passed as well and we the family honor them all. Shirley left behind the gamblers and her partner in crime, Mel, along with her daughters: Terri Smith married to Rev. John in Nashville, TN, Lori Deschene married to Ken in Bullhead City, AZ, Tammy McVeigh married to Kevin in Grafton, WI, Dawn Ouradnik in Colorado Springs, CO; and many grandkids across the states.

Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and the family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Diane Murray.

Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.lakeshorefamilyfuneralhome.com.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Sharon Richardson Hospice facility in Sheboygan Falls. Their tender touch both to Shirley and the family will not be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you make a donation to Sharon Richardson Hospice in honor of Shirley.

Thank you all for being a part of the journey of our mom, wife, grandma and sister.
