Willie Jackson Musselman, 81, of Christiansburg passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Jackson Musselman and mother Mary "Stella" Musselman; brother, Walter Musselman; and brother-in-law, Wesley Robertson. He is survived by his wife, Betty Young Musselman; son, Darrell Musselman and wife Missy Musselman; grandchildren, Lexie Musselman Weaver and husband David Weaver, and Jordan Musselman; great-grandchild, Laurelie Weaver; sister, Edna Robertson; sisters-in-law Thelma Musselman and MaryAnn Eanes and husband Kenny Eanes; and brother-in-law Don Young. Willie served in the National Guard from April 10, 1958 until he was honorably discharged on May 4, 1961. He enjoyed being self-employed for 45 years. He also enjoyed fishing, laking, antiques, and being around his family. Willie was a caring, selfless, and generous man who will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
