Frank Howard Bechtol, 89, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, surrounded by family, at Bronson Battle Creek. He was born on January 9, 1934, the son of Harry B. Bechtol and Nellie Louise (Hall) Bechtol.
Frank served for 3 years at Custer Air Force Station with 10 years total civil service. He was a carpenter for 15 years, employed at Union Pump for 14 years and retired from the Battle Creek Federal Center in 1995 after 10 years of service. Frank also served as a Pennfield Township volunteer firefighter for 22 years. He was an active member of North Avenue Church of God and was a strong man of God. Frank was a shining light to his family and friends.
Frank is survived by his Daughters, Renee (Jim) Bolz, Connie (Charles Nyland II) Votava and Jane (David) Myers; Son, Joseph (Pam) Weakley; Grandchildren, Amy (Trevor Jaskew) Myers, Colby (Amber) Votava, Seth (Chelsey) Votava, Parker Votava, Evalyn Votava, Carter Votava, Kevin (Rachel) Bolz, Melinda (Matt) Hall, Joseph (Nicole) Weakley, Julia Beffrey, and Jacob Beffrey; Great Grandchildren, Jordan Hall, Kaylie Hall, Madison Hall, Eliot Weakley, Flinigan Weakley, Amelia Weakley, Laurel Weakley, Isla Mae Jaskew, Abram Jaskew, Callie Votava, Cassie Votava, Cammie Votava, and Emma Bolz; Brother, Leroy Bechtol; Special Children, Joseph (Melinda) Beffrey, Dennis (Jan) Siddall, Patti Ellis, and Pat (Wendy) Gilbert. He was preceded in death by his Parents; his Wife, Albertine "Toni" (DeCuypere) Bechtol, Brothers, Harry Bechtol and Jack Bechtol; Sister, Dareda Benton Sister-in-law, Shirley Bechtol and Special Child, Gary Ellis.
Frank enjoyed cutting fire wood, auto racing, and woodworking. Together, he and Toni, enjoyed gardening and running their booth at craft shows for many years.

Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 West Dickman Road, on Monday May 15, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Jeffrey L. Eckman of North Avenue Church of God officiating.

Interment will take place in the Hicks Cemetery.
