She began work for Ernst & Whinney in 1986. She was hired to work in the copy center, file room, and took care of stocking vending machines. Once the merger took place (Ernst & Young), Betti became the mailroom coordinator and handled ordering office supplies. She retired in 2021 after 35 years. She was involved in hobbies including caring for her flowers, plants, and fish tank. Betti was happily married for 17 years.
She is preceded into death by mother Pandora Childress, sister-cousin Bonnie J. Reed, best friend Mary Katherine Mebane.
She is survived by daughter: Cecily Williams (Noah Scott), bonus daughter: Michelle Green, one bonus grandchild: Alana Mathis, three sister-cousins: Lois Adams, Regina Adams, Derris Silas, four brother-cousins: Moses Adams, Kevin Adams, Kenneth Adams, Artis Smith and a host of other relatives and friends.
