Martin Joseph Curran, 62 years old, passed away Monday, July 23, 1979, at a hospital in Bronx, New York. He was born in New York and had lived in Kansas City, Kansas, for 38 years, making his home at 7240 Parallel Parkway. Mr. Curran was a facilities engineer for Montgomery Ward for 13 years before he retired in 1974. Earlier he had worked for Western Auto Supply for ten years.

Mr. Curran was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of the Reserve Officers Association. He was also a member of the First Pilgrim Congregational Church.

He left his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Schreck Curran; a son, Tim Curran, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Wiershing of Raytown and Mrs .Donna Bastel of Overland Park; two brothers, Timothy Curran of Harrison NY and John Curran of Daytona Beach; a sister, Mrs. Jane Kiernan, of the Bronx; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Services were held at the Fulton-Nickel Chapel, where the family received friends. Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
