Clenton William Thomas, 76, (better known as Penny's husband) born in McRae, Georgia on September 25, 1946 passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at his residence.

Clenton has been a resident of Turner County since his marriage to Penny in 1996. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served as a Medic to the 6th Battalion, 11th Artillery, in the Americal Division at Duc Pho and L. Z. San Juan Hill. He was a welder and draftsman by trade, drafting at Rainbow Irrigation for over thirty years. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Ashburn where he ran the sound system and taught Sunday School. He had four self published books, "From Georgia to Vietnam", "Hello My Name is Tatar Thomas: Book One", "Hello My Name is Tatar Thomas: Book Two", and "Hello My Name is Tatar Thomas: Book Three."
