Son of George A. Hunter, who died Feb 27, 1903. George was a Confederate Soldier for the 6th Calvary out of Claiborne, Lousiana. His job was to track down deserters and bring them back but he was captured by Garrison's men and taken to the prison at St. Louis, Missouri. After the war, 1888, he settled in Grimes County with his family
