Mary Margaret Cooper, 95, Paragon, died on Tuesday, March 18th at 10:07 PM at her residence. Born on February 15, 1913, in Brown County, Indiana, to the late George Washington and Estella Barbara (Wilson) Ewers. On June 3, 1929 she married Archie Sylvester Cooper. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1990. Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Samaria Baptist Church in Paragon. She was an accomplished quilter. Survivors include one son, Archie Lloyd Cooper of Paragon; one daughter, Wanita Cooper Buis of Eminence; 8 grandchildren, Michelle Baugh, John Davis, Vicky Bevington, Gary Cooper, Theresa Rhea, Phyllis Saucerman and Michael Buis; 14 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Marvin & Melvin Cooper; brother, Joseph Wilson Ewers; four sisters, Marie Beaucamp, Estel Burgess, Pauline Gleason and Marcella Webb; 1 granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren. Rev. Jim Ackerman will officate at a graveside service on Friday, March 21st at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Samaria Cemetery in Paragon, Indiana. Neal and Summers Mortuary in Martinsville is in charge of arrangements.
