Beatrice White,69,of the 3200 block of Washington Ave died of cancer Sunday at Mercy Hospice-Johnston.Funeral services are to be held at Crestwood Baptist Church where she was a member.

Mrs. White was born to Clarence and Letha Ogden Harker in Valley Junction,Iowa and had lived in the Des Moines area most of her life. Bea graduated fro Valley High School in West Des Moine,IA. She was a homemaker,an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling, fishing and caring for infants.

She is survived by her husband,Edward;two sons,Alan of Pleasant Hill,IA and Bryan of Kansas City,Mo.;four brothers,Larry Harker of Des Moines,Marion Harker and Harold Harker both of West Des Moines,IA and Gerald Harker of Wyoming,MI;four sisters;Carol Torstenson of Urbandale,Barbara Riggs of Russell,Ia,Patricia Christionson of Spring Hill,IA and Judy Mackey of Chicago; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
