United States Army Air Corps. Veteran of World War II. He was a member of General Jimmy Doolittle's raiders who bombed Tokyo on April 18, 1942

Graduated from Beaver High School, Beaver, Oklahoma and received BS degree from Institute of Technology, Weatherford, Oklahoma, January, 1940. Entered military service March 26, 1940 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Completed navigator training and commissioned as Second Lieutenant in June of 1941. After Tokyo Raid, served in ETO as B-26 and B-17 navigator from August 1942 until April, 1945. Has since served overseas in North Africa with Strategic Air Command. Was also rated as bombardier and served as an Intelligence Officer. Decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Chinese Army, Navy, and Air Corps Medal, Class A, 1st Grade.
