My Great Uncle, Alonzo Withington was the son of Otis Warren & Annie I. (White) Withington of Dedham, MA. On June 5, 1901 he married Annie Louise Eaton of Westwood, MA. The marriage took place in Westwood. He was known as Lon Withington. Lon And Annie lived in the Eaton Family home on Canton Street in Westwood, which was formerly part of Dedham. The Eaton's were an old Dedham family. Lon was a builder. He built a home on Everett Street for he and his wife, but Annie wanted to stay in the Eaton Family home, so they never moved into the house on Everett Street. They never had any children. They enjoyed having children around and often had my father, Charles and his three siblings over to their house. They traveled by horse and wagon from their home on Milton St. in East Dedham to Lon and Annie's house on Canton Street, Westwood.
