Barth Blaine Girod "Bubba", 68, a resident of St. Francisville and native of Vicksburg, MS, died at his home on Saturday, May 6, 2023. He worked for 24 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections and had a second career for ten years with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA from 9:00 am until funeral services at 12:00 noon, conducted by Fr. Brad Doyle. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in St. Francisville, LA. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jennifer Lemoine Girod; daughter Megan Girod Bonin and her husband Tyler Bonin, of St. Amant; and one grandson on the way. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Hershel Girod and his mother, Lois Girod; and his brother Carl Keith Girod. Pallbearers will be Tyler Bonin, Josh Girod, Louis Dwyer, Lester Lemoine, Edward Cormier, and Eddie Boeker. He had a passion for working in his shop. He loved riding motorcycles with his wife, and turkey and deer hunting. He kept a pristine yard and was proud of his driveway. He never failed to keep in touch with his old friends, who he rode dirt bikes with when he was younger.
