Farmer. Son-in-law of Sir Edward Elgar.

Born at Harton Farm, Oakford, son of Thomas Blake (1853-1937) and his wife Mary Jane (née Pearse, 1848-1886).

From at least 1918 until the mid-1930s he farmed in Chilworth. He retired with his wife to live in Broadheath, the village where her father had been born in 1857. He died at South Bank Nursing Home, Worcester.

His body was cremated at Woking on 30 August 1939 and his ashes were scattered at Chilworth on 1 September 1939.
