Carl Pihlblad, 60 Kennedy Street, Bradford, died at 5 pm Thursday in Bradford Hospital following an illness of several months.. He was the father of Robert W. Pihlblad, Warren..
Born in Sweden, August 22,1881, Mr. Pihlblad came to this country as a child, his family settling in Jamestown, NY.. He moved from there to Bradford 25 years ago.. As a heating and air conditioning engineer, he had been employed by several Bradford firms, including the Emery Hardware Co. and Taylor Roofing Co.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elder McDermott and Mrs. Michael McDermott, both of Cleveland, OH; one brother and three sisters, Gust Pihlblad and Mrs. J. N. Cassell, Lakewood, NY; Mrs. Edmond R. Anderson, Akron, OH; Mrs. Walter Johnson, Bemus Point, NY.
The Rev Paul Kroon of Emannuel Lutheran Church of Bradford, will conduct the funeral services at 3 pm Saturday and burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery in that city.
