He was born Oct. 16, 1915, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of George W. and Mary E. Black Frost.
He married Mary Agnes Beyers in 1938; she died in 1998.
Mr. Frost retired from Sangamo Electric after 40 years as senior designer and was past president of the Mansion View Lodge.
He was a member of St. Agnes Church and Holy Name Society and was a past commodore of Island Bay Yacht Club.
Survivors: a daughter, Susann (husband, Robert) Rake of Springfield; two sons, James C. Frost of Maryland and G. Robert Frost of Springfield; and a grandchild.
Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Patrick Wright officiating.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
