Vallie Marie Addis, age 70, Oswego, KS, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at 2:18 PM, Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita, KS.
She was born January 17, 1953, in Parsons, KS to Bernard and Lois (Miller) Westhoff, who preceded her in death along with one brother, Dean Westhoff.
She co-owned Cronies Restaurant in Parsons, KS for many years. She later retired from the Oswego, KS School District.
She married Junior Addis in Miami, OK on September 3, 1983, he survives the home. Additional survivors include two sons, Josh Addis (Casi), Cherryvale, KS; and Jesse Addis, Oswego, KS; three daughters, Kimberly Smith, Topeka, KS; Tracy Stuever (Jason), Goddard, KS; and Bethany Weesner (Steven), Colwich, KS; ten grandchildren, Kaleigh and Scottie Smith; Cade Addis; Austin, Jadyn, and Brody Stuever; Jackson and Jade Addis; and Henli and Whit Weesner; four brothers, B.J. Westhoff (Marcia), Bella Vista, AR; Michael Westhoff (Loretta), Tulsa, OK; Ren Westhoff, Parsons, KS; and Francis Westhoff, Cherryvale, KS; one sister, Theresa Cameron (Greg), Cherryvale, KS; and one sister-in-law, Tammy Westhoff (Dean), North Bridge, M
The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 5:00 p.m., at the Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego, KS. The family will receive friends following the Rosary service.
Father Larry Parker will celebrate Mass of Christian burial, 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Mother of God Catholic Church, Oswego, KS. Burial will follow in the Lake Creek Cemetery, Bartlett, KS.
