Mrs. Raines died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at her home.
She was born Dec. 12, 1920, in Ozawkie, the daughter of John and Bertha (Asher) Hudson.
Mrs. Raines was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Perry, and a former member of the Methodist church of Perry and attended the First United Methodist Church, Topeka.
She married James L. Raines on May 30, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo. He died April 6, 1993.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Raines and Linda Vigneron, both of Topeka; Cindy Duffy, Gardner; two sons, Richard Raines, Flagstaff, Ariz., and Ronald Raines, Topeka; a sister, Oletha Alfrey, Topeka; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
