Born November 29, 1932 she was the daughter of Harold and Edith (Walirus) Gaynier. She married Charles Grodi on September 20, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie. Sadly he preceded her death in 1993.
Marion was life-long resident of Erie and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She worked as a cashier for Howard Johnson for 18 years and for the Sweden House for 17 years.
She will deeply missed by her daughters Diana (Tom) McDonald and Pamela Grodi; her sons Lawrence and David (Joyce); her sisters Eileen Winkler, Joyce Bomia and Donna Mercer; her wonderful friends Mickey Hall and Linda Simpson; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her brother Harold Gaynier Jr.
Friends may visit Friday from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Erie location of Bennett-Prochnow Funeral Home where services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Erie.
