Thomas A. Brammer, 63, of South Bend died on Sunday, May 14, 2023 after courageously battling pancreatic cancer. He passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones.


Tom was born on October 27, 1959 in Washington DC, to Harold and Barbara Brammer.


Tom grew up in McLean, VA and South Bend, IN. He graduated from St. Joseph's HS in 1978 and earned a degree from IUSB in 1983 from the School of Environmental and Public Affairs. Tom was a tradesman specializing in flooring. He also was well known for his devotion to supporting Women's Care Centers where he offered remodeling services for the good of pro-life services. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing as well. He was gregarious, witty, and charitable. He loved family, friends, and Led Zeppelin! Tom will be missed by all who knew and loved him.


He is survived by 4 children, Grace Ann of Mishawaka, Addie Marie of South Bend, Sophia Mae and Michael A. Brammer of Osceola; mother, Barbara Ann Brammer of South Bend; 9 siblings, Marc Allan, David Lee, Robert Joseph, and Kathleen Brammer of South Bend, IN, Mary Jane Brammer of Novato, CA, Suzanne Makielski of Brownsburg, IN, Elizabeth Brinkman and Michael Brammer of Delray Beach, FL and Carol Ann Brammer of New York City.


Tom is preceded in death by his father, Harold W. Brammer; brother, Richard Stephen; and a sister, Diane Brammer


A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. (EST) Saturday May 20, 2023 at St. Matthew's Cathedral, 1701 Miami St, South Bend, IN 46613. A Rosary will be held at 9 a.m. prior to the service. A private burial will take place in Knightstown, IN with both paternal and maternal family.
