Harold graduated from the Illinois State Police Academy as a trooper with Class #19 July 27, 1957. He spent the majority of his tenure with the D.C.I. [Department of Criminal Investigation] Zone 5 - Joliet as a special agent, retiring June 30, 1986.
He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 300, West Chicago.
Harold was the beloved husband of Susan (nee Hickey); the loving father of William (Kimberly) Andrews, Thomas (Patty) Andrews, Patrick (Linda) Andrews and John (Kathy) Andrews; the grandfather of Justin, Kimberlee, McKenzie Ewen, Zachary Ewen, Taylor, Joseph, Savanah, Rick, and Samantha; great-grandfather of 9.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Colleen and Suzanne.
