"ALLEN, Clarence R., age 69, passed away July 22, 1963, in St Luke's Hospital. Mr. Allen was born in Racine on Nov. 13, 1894, and had been a lifelong resident. On Nov. 29, 1913, he was married to the former Laura Brunson. He was vice president of Allen's Merchandising Co., Inc., since 1948. He was a member of the Immanuel Episcopal Church.
Surviving are his wife, Laura, of Racine; three sons, Willis, Kenneth and Donald, all of Racine; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Walek and Mrs. David (Lorraine) Lewis, both of Racine; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Hanson Funeral Home, Rev. Harold Baker officiating. Interment will be in Mound Cemetery." The Journal Times (Racine, Wisconsin), July 23, 1963
